Dr Dipesh Patel is practicing consultant and specialist in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Acute medicine at Royal Free NHS Foundation trust since 2013. He qualified at St George’s hospital and completed specialist training in NW London. Before commencing at the Royal Free he had clinical positions at University College and Hammersmith hospitals. He was awarded a PhD by Imperial College for his research in cholesterol transport, HDL-C in people with type 2 diabetes.
He enjoys delivering high quality clinical care in outpatient Endocrinology and Diabetes management. He is committed to patient safety and contributes to trust governance activties. He supports a team and advises on aspects of specialist diabetes care to GP’s in Camden.
He has an Honorary Senior Lecturer position at UCL where he is a principal investigator in clinical trial work and enjoys being a lead teacher for undergraduate Endocrinology at the Royal Free.
Away from work Dipesh participates in a number of sporting activities which he enjoys with his children and family.
