dietetics Dietetics is the study of a patients diet and nutritional habits with an idea of establishing how it effects your health.

Dietitians are licensed to diagnose and treat a patients nutritional problems therefore they are an important part of any healthcare team.

We offer a comprehensive Nutrition and Dietetics service for patients at both hospital sites; Royal Free PPU and Hadley Wood Hospital. Your care is paramount and designed to be specific to your dietary needs.

Our dietitian works closely with consultants to be able to provide recommendations of the most appropriate diet to you.

We offer many services for different patient issues such as:

Weight management – including nutrition support
Osteoporosis
Dietary advice for coeliac disease
Inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis)
Irritable bowel syndrome, including
low FODMAP diet
Nutrition and heart health including high blood pressure or cholesterol
Renal and liver disease
Diabetes
Gastrointestinal surgery including stomach, pancreatic and bowel surgery
Cancer
General health problems linked to nutrition
