Consultant Nephrologist
Dr Dupont qualified from the RCSI Medical School, Dublin in 1993. He trained in Nephrology on the North Thames specialty training scheme and completed a PhD in transplantation immunology at Imperial College London, Hammersmith Hospital in 2005. He was appointed Consultant Nephrologist/Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Royal Free Hospital, London in 2006 and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in Ireland in 2008. He is dual accredited in Renal and General Internal Medicine.
Dr Dupont has a subspecialty interest in renal transplantation including pre-transplant assessment, infectious complications of transplantation and management of chronic allograft dysfunction. He is principal investigator for a number of clinical trials in renal transplantation. Dr Dupont is member of the Renal Association, British Transplantation Society and the London Transplant Research Network.
Dr Dupont’s NHS practice encompasses all aspects of general nephrology including investigation and management of acute and acute and chronic kidney disease along with difficult hypertension.
