Professor Alan Salama is a consultant and Professor in renal medicine at the UCL Centre for Nephrology, Royal Free Hospital in London. He runs a busy vasculitis clinic and a research laboratory investigating mechanisms of immune regulation in systemic vasculitis and glomerulonephritis.

Research interests
I run a laboratory investigating immunological and inflammatory kidney disease, and have a clinical interest in systemic vasculitis. We have investigated novel biomarkers of disease and novel means of treatment. We are currently running a trial to define immune tolerance in systemic vasculitis.
