Dr Rooshi Nathwani is a Consultant Hepatologist at the Royal Free Hospital, London, with extensive expertise in hepatology, gastroenterology, and general internal medicine. He completed his specialty training in the North-West London Deanery and undertook advanced hepatology training at the Royal Free and Imperial College London Hospitals. Currently, he serves as the Clinical Lead for Hepatology Early Detection Pathways at the Royal Free Hospital.
Dr Nathwani has a strong clinical background focused on complex liver diseases, including alcohol-related liver disease, decompensated cirrhosis, portal hypertension, vascular liver diseases, metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD), and early detection of liver disease. His clinical skills include proficiency in Fibroscan and both diagnostic and therapeutic upper GI endoscopy.
He earned his PhD from Imperial College London and has contributed to multiple peer-reviewed publications on liver disease. Dr Nathwani remains actively involved in clinical research and is dedicated to medical education, organizing teaching programs and delivering lectures at prestigious hepatology courses.
