Dr McNamara is a consultant haematologist with extensive experience in the care of people with lymphoma and other haematological malignancies. He has worked in both the diagnostic and therapeutic domains, advancing the services available.

He trained in Australia and France and has almost 20 years of experience as a consultant haematologist in Britain.  He has published numerous articles and was the clinical lead for national lymphoma guidelines and has served on international boards for harmonising therapies in haematology.

His personal interests are cycling, music and poetry.
