Diet and nutrition can be very important for people who are currently undergoing, or have completed treatment for cancer.
Cancer & nutrition
Itโs not unusual for your dietary needs to change โ for example, certain treatments can affect immune function and gut function and how your body absorbs nutrients, or may mean you are no longer able to tolerate certain foods.
Cancer can also have an ongoing impact on your overall wellbeing and energy levels, and it can take a long time to feel โlike yourselfโ again. Nutrition can play a key role in managing this, and helping you feel more in control of your health and wellbeing again.
However, sifting through the vast amounts of dietary information out there can be difficult, and itโs not always clear which approach is best for you.
Youโre not alone โ and we are here to help. Our dietitian can help ensure you get the right diet and nutrition advice and guidance to suit your individual needs, with ongoing support to help you along on your journey.
