A range of shoulder problems might require minor surgery, including ongoing pain and stiffness following a sports injury, chronic ‘frozen shoulder’, or recurring shoulder dislocation.

Treatment

These can often be resolved or managed with conservative treatments, including pain management and physiotherapy. But for some people, shoulder problems can become chronic and severe and have a significant impact. There might also be persistent loss of mobility in the joint that’s affecting your day-to-day life.

The specialist orthopaedic surgeons at Hadley Wood Hospital have a wealth of experience in treating shoulder problems, using the latest minimally invasive and laparoscopic (keyhole) techniques where possible. The surgeons also work closely with our team of expert physiotherapists, who can support in the recovery and long-term rehabilitation of the joint.
