Broadcaster opens travel clinic

Travel writer and broadcaster Simon Calder officially opened the Royal Free London Travel Health and Immunisation Clinic last Thursday. The clinic, which is run by the Royal Free London Private Patients Unit, provides travel health advice, vaccinations, malaria tablets and treatment kits as well as a comprehensive range of travel health products for those travelling abroad. The clinic also provides a service for more general immunisations such as meningitis. Trust rated ‘Good’ overall by CQC

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) have announced that they have rated the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust ‘Good’ overall as a trust. All three hospitals, Barnet Hospital, Chase Farm Hospital and the Royal Free Hospital individually also received a rating of ‘Good’. Further, each of the 21 core services inspected across our three hospitals received a ‘Good’ rating. Professor Ted Baker, deputy chief inspector of hospitals, said: “As one of the largest acute trusts in England, the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust sees 1.6 million people a year.
